I think there may be a side to vinted you haven’t mentioned: the selling children’s clothes that are brand new and unworn for less money than it takes for the bus journey to the parcel drop off point and back just to get out of the house. They were dark times. I have to say I don’t bother selling on there any more people want something for nothing and the post office charge too much. I’d rather give it away.
It’s also terrifying how much there is. If you choose your size, one colour and item and there is still 500+ to choose from?!
I recognise those dark times you speak of. When a Vinted outing brings purpose to your day you know you're in the trenches. I'm halfway out of the trenches now but firmly in Vinted addiction. I prefer the Vinted dopamine hit to the Instagram one though. One must pick their vices. Also I have found some real gems along the way and if I can convince myself to operate a one out one in policy going forward I think all will be fine.
Yes I agree — there’s a weird thrifty Stepford wife thing going on. Like we will somehow be absolved of our over-shopping/gifting sins by getting £4 for the baby sleeper bundle…. a narrowing of the universe
Giving away your time and sanity and hoping to find the perfect used whatever it is is a long, long way from cheap fun. But, getting a brief glimpse into that crazy frenetic space and not getting hooked - now theres the challenge. Get out Leah while you still can. Run!

Of course it will. There are far FAR worse ways to search for meaning on the internet!

I got 3 things off vinted. None of them fit. Now they are just sitting there. Can't be bothered to resell them. Very funny post. Thank you.
Resell!
Very good. You should be a writer

too late for me — but you can still save yourself Michelle!
I always admire people who can buy clothes without trying them on first!
Most of my clothes come from re-sale stores and I’m lucky that my neighbourhood has some really good ones.
And there are other internet addictions that are much worse😉
if you order the wrong size you can just resell it!
Good point!
