Yes I’ve got one and I like to keep it clipped to manageable size but my wife wants to let it grow ,she’s sentimental about all things green. It’s a problem I’ll have to deal with in the future.
Just an after thought ..when I cycled solo from Perth to Melbourne I used to love the smell of eucalyptus trees in the morning.A solitary road with those trees gave me a high I will never forget .
I loved every word of this, and well timed too. We have a few problematic trees under discussion because they are busting up the foundations of the ramp to our ancient barn. I love trees, and these are pretty and strong and doing an amazing job growing out between the boulder sized granite block that hold up this part of the building. they have to go before they do more damage, but it’s been breaking my heart to come around to the fact. Your words have given me the courage to pull out the chainsaw. Or at least to pass it to Colin to do the real deed - he’s better with power tools.
Love this. Yesterday I drove past a work truck advertising mudjacking with the slogan “Sunken concrete? We get it up for you”
Not sure if their particular trade does a calendar.
Lovely piece.
thanks lovely x
Are you back in the house with the purple door?
You mention being there for several years so I’m confused.
Great story as usual.👏👏
Yes we're still in the black house with the purple door! We had to move out temporarily -- sorry for the confusion!

Maybe the eucalyptus is why I've felt like I've been cycling the road from Perth to Melbourne for years? GOODBYE TREE
